Ap mode
I have my orbi in ap mode but the host device has no firewall capability. How can I get a firewall set up as the orbi in ap mode doesn't utilize a firewall
I didnt want to do a dmz as it would be a security risk. However I do have a firewall on my desktop computer that is ethernet wired to the orbi . I think that will suffice even in ap mode on the orbi
May or may not fully work. However for other devices connected, those devices will not be protected.
You'll need to configured router mode on the Orbi system and then connect it to your host router. Try this, even with out the use of the DMZ on the host router. Then you'll have firewall protection at the Orbi.
