Can someone install the new firmware
Can someone install the new firmware and let me know if this fixes the random device drop issues. If so, I will run out and re-purchase it.
I just went out to Best Buy and purchase the 970 again. Upon set up, the newest firmware was downloaded to the router and satellites. Everything‘s been up and running for about an hour, no problems yet crossing my fingers that this firmware update resolves the random device drops.
Wonder what this does? Hopefully this fixes the random device drops…….

Sometimes 6GHz radio might not work.
Occasionally all FH interfaces will be down when IOT SSID is enabled from GUI.
Sometimes BH MLO can't be established.
Sometimes satellite credential is not synced to router.
App can't connect to Orbi, cannot login into router via web or debug page

Google Pixel 8 Pro is causing the Orbi system to crashNever mind. My Roku just lost internet connection. I guess Best Buy will be getting a another 970 back.
A couple things to check/think about.
1. How many times has it dropped? Roku's usually first connect on the 2.4ghz band and then bump up to the 5ghz when its needing more bandwidth. It can take a few times to settle down as the roku starts preferring the 5ghz band. I've seen that on both my roku's. After a bit, they've worked fine
2. what channel is the orbi using? DFS can be problematic in some area's
3. What modem/gateway is the orbi connected to?
4. how far away is the roku? Have you checked to see if its connected to the router or the satellite? Maybe it switched from the router to the satellite. that'll cause a drop.
I usually advise people to give it a couple days with mesh systems as your devices to "learn" what band to connect to and router vs satellite.
Sitting here watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Roku lost connection 2 different times 5ft from the router. Just downloaded FW that showed up this morning. 9.10.2.3 Hopefully this fixes the random device drop issues. Otherwise Best Buy is getting another return.
