CM3000 and Sparklight
Can I replace my current Sparklight modem with a CM3000 and full Orbi970 system and keep all of the SSID and passwords the same as my current system so that I do not have to update all of the endpoin...

Yes.
I'm on SL as well and currently have my CM3000 connected to my 970 series system.
Be sure to check with the ISP as well on any additional requirements that you may have. If you have phone for voice support then the CM3000 won't work. Otherwise, will be fine to use. You can use same SSID name and password from current system on the Orbi system.

do you disconnect the old modem, then power up the new one before you call SL tech?

Yes.

I will have my CM3000 and Orbi 970 tomorrow and will get started. As I understand it... I will...
power up the CM3000, and connect it to the in coming coax
connect Sparklight tech to get them to connect the new modem
Do I power up the full Orbit system and connect it to the modem, or just the base unit.
Do I set up the Orbit system from the app?
How do I reuse the old SSID and passwords?
Thanks for the help

Full system. if you don't have the out going system online when this happens then, yes, connect the new system and have it all powered ON. The RBS will auto connect to the RBR if you give them about 5 minutes prior to starting the setup.

If you want to use same SSID names and passwords, you can either setup thru Orbi app or use a PC and web browser to set up the system:

I prefer to setup using the Web browser way.
Once you get thru the web setup wizard, go in and configure the wireless settings for the same name SSID and password used on the out going system:
