Device shows as connected in router, but name will not resolve.

Question

I'm experiencing frequent network interruptions, for which I created a separate discussion. After the connection is restored, some of the devices on my local network are no longer accessible by name. A nslookup reports it's a non-existant domain. The device is still shown as connected in the router UI.

How can I resolve this, short of rebooting the router constantly?
