Hello, I have a problem with my NETGEAR RBE971!


When I use the AP mode, the WiFi will be repeatedly disconnected and then reconnected immediately, and the network cannot be restored normally. What is the problem? My firmware version is the latest V9.12.5.3_1.3.24.

  • How is the RBR configured or AP mode? Dynamic or Static IP address for AP mode? 

    Does the front LED turn PINK when this happens? 

     

    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
    Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. 

     

    What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
    What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

      My AP mode is static IP address, and the wifi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting in an infinite loop. The front LED of my RBE971 does not show any indicator light. Sometimes the wifi is connected but the packet loss rate is very high when pinging.
