My 2.4ghz band is poor because of traffic it seems

Ive been doing a few research what could be causing dead spots in some area well not really dead spots but way slower speeds than should have I looked @ the wifi analytics and notice that channel 9 which is the 2.4 channel is basically all used up. Shouldn't the router be able to direct traffic better than this automatically ? or am I reading the chart wrong

  • so set it to 1 or 6. Your photo show what channel you're currently using.

Other problem with scanners like that is 2.4ghz has channel overlap. Its usually 2 channels either direction.

So if you have your set on channel 6, it'll actually broadcast from channel 4-8. They also can change as many routers use the auto setting and will move the primary channel around. It makes it more challenging to select a specific channel as it can change

2.4ghz is a slow network and has quite a bit of interference. its why devices needing higher bandwidth use 5ghz.
