- what are you using for streaming from the qnap? Like StephenB says, plex? Jellyfin? DLNA?
- what qnap is it (model)?
- Are you streaming wireless? Wired?
- What are you streaming to? fire tv? google tv? apple tv? (and the model)
- what actual speeds do you get?
- are you using software transcoding? hardware transcoding?
- What makes you think its a speed issue if the old system and orbi system both have issues.
I've had my home setup for media streaming for over a decade. I've moved from 480->1080->4k streaming. In my experience, the issue usually isn't the router. Its something with the setup you're using for it. Thats why details are key.
