NETGEAR ORBI 971 model - unable to change country region
Is it possible to change the country region of ORBI 971 model?
The country region of the orbi 971 that i've is set to 'Canada'. I wanted to change it to 'US'. I'm unable to do it through the WebUI (please refer to the below snapshot for reference, the option is greyed out).
Please let me know if there is a way to change the country region. (I tried to reset, but this doesn't help)
Thanks in advance!!

some area's (link north america) are region locked. You can't change it.
the other regions aren't. There used to be a burnsku command to allow it to be changed but that hasn't worked since wireless AX

I have not yet found any documentation from Netgear explaining this situation. However, internet search for "netgear router region setting" shows that this is an issue affecting many WiFi routers. For example,

As you have been searching, you may have come across descriptions of a process that some users discovered years ago on a previous model of the Orbi.
By "inspecting" the HTML code used to display the Advanced Wireless Settings page, they discovered that the HTML to operate the 'pull down' menu for Region selection was still present in the web page, but had be made "inactive" and "hidden".
This sort of thing is way beyond my pathetic web programming capabilities. You might find more information by some cleaver searching. And... it won't do any harm to inspect the Advanced Settings page on the 971 router to see if the HTML code remains the same.
Another thought is to check the return policy from wherever this system was purchased. Maybe it needs to "go back"?
