Orbi 870 Firmware Updates
It seems the last firmware update was in the later half of 2025 i.e. Sep/October.
Just wondering if another one is planned soon? 1 year between updates seems like an awfully long time.
Does anyone have knowledge on when the next 870 update will be / what it should address?
I noticed one of my nodes backhaul degrades over time - I manually restart it from time to time but I hope there is a firmware fix.

Similar on the Orbi 970 Series, the last released (still the standard worldwide (WW) firmware) was dated October 31, 2025, currently there is a limited distribution v12 for the 970.
Like the recently released Obi 970 v12 New - RBE970 Series v12.1.10.12 Firmware - NA Region Only | NETGEAR Communities which is based on the enhanced Qualcomm core code, once the 970 v12 can be relased worldwide, the Orbi 870 updates will certainly become available, too.
- improves system stability.
- improves Wi-Fi client connectivity.
- improves mesh satellite connectivity and stability.

NG doesn't give out time frames on when new FW is forth coming or what it addresses.
New FW may not solve what users seen on there systems, there are other factors that can cuase issues that FW may not fix.
Give more details of the issues at hand.
What have you done to troubleshoot the issues at hand. What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Try disabling the following and see:

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
