Orbi 970 - Hard wired Ikea Dirigea Hub unreachable from Satellite WIFI
I have my Ikea Dirigea Smart Home Hub connected to the Orbi 970 Router with a lan cable. When I'm in the Router WIFI I can access the hub but when I'm in the Satellite WIFI the hub is unreachable. ...
I assume your satellites are using wireless backhaul?
Seems others have had this problem, I have found references to it or something very similar on reddit among other places:

It seems some have fixed this by disabling IGMP Proxying on the 970 router (log in to the router web page, Advanced tab, Setup, WAN Setup). Then reboot the router and satellites.
From what I Have read, Orbi satellites/mesh don't always relay multicast across the 5 GHz backhaul. Disabling IGMP proxying stops Orbi from handling multicast itself and lets satellites bridge it transparently.
This may also be fixed by using wired/Ethernet backhaul if that's possible.
I would have expected this to work exactly the same as with the RBR50. Very strange.
Just a crazy thought. Does this hub respond to network ICMP requests? (commonly known as 'ping')
When the IKEA app is not able to contact the hub, is the same device able to ping the hub using the IP address shown in the Attached Devices (or the app Device Manager)? (I have several apps on laptops and Android that will perform ping. Don't know much about Apple devices.)

By unchecking "Disable IGM Proxy" and rebooting the router it seems to have solved the issue.
I feel so stupid. I reset my Dirgea Hub with over 100 devices and also reset my Apple Home with another couple dozens of Eve devices and added back everything from scratch because I thought the problem was somehow related to a crooked setup. I spent several hours doing that before realizing that the Orbi router was the villain in my setup. I did not consider this because I did not have this kind of issue with a previous Orbi model. I found out because during the process of adding devices to Dirgea from one of the rooms that connects to the satellite WIFI I was not able to reach the Dirgea hub on my phone, that's when it finally dawned on me that it must be the Orbi blocking traffic between WIFI on one satellite and LAN on the other satellite but I could not locate the IGMP settings in the router menu.
