What security mode do you have set on the IoT network? WPA2 and AES only? Temporarily set security to NONE. Then see if the device will connect in the open. Re-enable WPA2 and AES after testing.
What channels are you using on the RBR?

IF thats happening, then there is some incompatibility between these branded controllers and this Orbi system.

what actual error is the carrier giving you when you attempt setup?
Was looking back and didn't see it.
Is it able to see the wireless ssid?
Are you using any special characters or spaces in the SSID or password? Some sketchy IoT like thermostats have issues with special characters or spaces.

Error message: Unable to connect. Please check your password and network connectivity.
No special characters in SID or password
When asking thermo to find available networks, SID shows up as one.
Spent 1 1/2 hours on phone with Carrier tech and all she could conclude is that this version (A) has been replaced with the B and maybe it would be compatible. Hate to spend the $1,200 and find it is not.
