My cell phone connects to Wi-Fi 6e and after a while switched to Wi-Fi 5g, I prefer the 6e, is there a way to setup the connection where my cell phone can always use 6e? Thanks

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

What brand and model cell phone do you have?
What OS version is to the cell phone?
Its up to the wifi device to pick and choose which frequency it connects too.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

FURRYe38 you are my hero, the wireless 6E is working flawlessly and always active on my phone by using the phone mac address and not randomized, you should work for Netgear tech support, they had me move the satellite to a different location, this tech said it should be 5 or 6 feet off the ground and away from TV and other electronics, well that did not make sense, I did move it but when i saw no change i placed it back where my network area was.
Thanks again for your expertise.
