I have an RBE973S system. think I have identified the reason my iPhone keeps dropping WiFi, and I wanted to share so others can see if it solves their issues. On your iPhone, go to Settings>Cellula...

Yeah, turning off the WiFi Assist seems to clear it up for a short period of time, but it isn’t a permanent fix.
Out of curiosity, what iPhone version do you all have?
I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m on the latest firmware.
I’ve read quite a bit about the iPhone 15 Pro Max having WiFi issues that still have not been addressed.
At this point, I’m hoping the iPhone 16 Pro Max solves the issue.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 17.5.1
Dual band phone so I presume there maybe other issues seen with tri band model phones vs dual band.
Also I don't use Mac Address randomizers while I'm at home.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17.51 until yesterday, now iOS 17.6.
No MAC address randomizers here either.
It happens infrequently for me - to be honest I suspect this is more of an Apple problem than Netgear. Just a hunch.
- mapotter99Jul 30, 2024Apprentice9.12.3.3, but it’s been an issue ever since owning this specific router.
Currently on iOS 18 public beta 2, but I also had the issue on all the latest iOS 17 versions. - donawaltJul 31, 2024Mentor - Experienced User
I just had my first drop this morning. My iPhone went from a connection to the router, being int he same room -> I went to the first floor kitchen, one of the RBS 960s is there. I was about 20 feet LOS from the RBS, and the phone flipped to 5G even though settings said it was still connected to WiFi. about 30 seconds later it reconnected to WiFi. I'll keep "WiFi Assist" toggle off to see, maybe it's better but not fixed.
