I have an RBE973S system. think I have identified the reason my iPhone keeps dropping WiFi, and I wanted to share so others can see if it solves their issues. On your iPhone, go to Settings>Cellula...

I'll recommend that anyone seeing this issue with there Apple iPhone and any Orbi system, please make contact with NG support and submit a support ticket and let NG know what's going on. Possible there maybe a new issue emerging on both Apple and NG side and they both need to look into this.

Yeah it's probably happening as much as before. Settings says we have a WiFi connection, but unreality (top right corner), no we do not. Speed test confirms this phone is on Cellular.
- Roc1Jul 31, 2024Luminarydonawalt, I too have an iPhone 15 ProMax. Like furry suggested, I’m going to open a NG Support ticket and ask NG to work with Apple on this issue. If you are still in NG warranty, or have extended Support coverage, I suggest you also open a Support ticket.
- Roc1Jul 31, 2024Luminarydonawalt, I just opened a new NG Support Case on our iPhone 15 ProMax and RBE 973 WiFi 6E/5G Cell “flips”. I’ll update after I talk to them.
- Roc1Jul 31, 2024Luminarydonawalt, I’ve submitted our WiFi/cell flipping Support Case to NG, they are already at Level 3 Support. I might have missed this in your previous info, who is your Internet provider, and cell service provider? I have an angle I might be able to follow outside of NG Level 3 that could lead to a fix.

Roc1 that's great! Good luck, Have not had good luck with opening support tickets.
My ISP is Comcast, and my Cell Provider is AT&T. Let me know if you need more info!
- Roc1Aug 01, 2024LuminaryDonawalt, Oh, yes, I can open them tickets, I just can’t get any closed!!
Today, NG actually added this WiFi/Cell Stability issue to my NG Level 3 Support Case that’s been open for 3-months! NG has been diligently working with me but no solution yet.
What speed Comcast internet do you have? Is it fiber? Who makes the router/modem/ONT (if isp is fiber) for Comcast? My ATT is Internet and is 5Gb fiber.
Approximately what range up and download speeds do you get when you use the Orbi App via WiFi connection (actual iPhone connection band doesn’t matter when using Orbi app to do internal RBE971 speed test, but it is ok if you run internal speed test with 2.4/5/6Ghz WiFi) to RBE971 to run an internal Orbi speed test of Comcast internet speeds? I was hoping you also had ATT fiber internet.
I also spoke with Apple Care today, they have no issues on file related to iPhone 15 Promax Cell/wifi stability. BUT, the Apple rep shared with me her brother has an iPhone 15 pro max with ATT internet. She said he had stability issues with his Netgear router (she didn’t know the model) and her iPhone was doing the same cell/wifi/cell flipping when she visited her brother's house. Her brother interfaced with NG (she didn’t know if it was a call or a formal Case) and then contacted ATT who somehow used info from NG support (or vice versa) that her brother used to “tweak” RBE971 and ATT Gateway settings that corrected his cell/wifi stability issue. I'll call ATT tomorrow and see if I can get any suggestions from them that might help both of us.
The speed test I asked you to run are to see if your RBE has same upload speed issues as several of us RBE971 owners have been having since Feb ‘24. My internal Orbi download speeds are always 4700-4900Mb 100% of time. 95% of time (after hundreds of speed tests over 3-months working with NG) my upload speeds are 600-900Mb. 5% of time (there is no rhyme or reason when this 5% occurs), the internal upload speed is symmetrical with download, 4700-4900Mb!! Have you noticed anything like this? That’s what my 2-month old NG case (that’s where our Stability issue has been added since NG Level 3 Support is already working on that issue).
