RBE771 disconnects constantly
I have an RBE 771 mesh system, replacing my old RBR50, which I have used for MANY years without issue. But, we now have a much larger house and needed larger range. The two satellites on the RBE771 a...

It's connected to a Verizon fios modem. This is the reset where I paperclip reset each device?

yes factory reset with the paper clip.
Verizon really likes to use their own modem/gateway devices versus just standard ONT's. It causes a double nat.
do you know what gateway you have from verizon?

it's CR1000A and if there's a setting to change I will try it!

I do have this happening but I'm not sure of what other settings I would need to change. I literally had never a single problem on the old router (which I sent to my aunt many states away, or I think I'd honestly have returned to it by now!).

right now you're in a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There are 3 options, but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass-through mode. This disables its routing functions.https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-301824/
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway wirelessly enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. The Wi-Fi/ethernet still works, but it disables some features.

1. those options are not the same as what you linked.
2. ?? unsure because it says it is in bridge mode. IDK where I would find the Netgear IP address.
3. I believe I tried this and it's not useful, because it disables the use of the wired backhaul.
my husband messaged me and begged me to reboot - internet currently unusable. I also suspect that the satellite that is in my office (which he also connects to - his office is below mine) is defective. as I am writing (saving to send later, bc still no internet 10 mins later), everything is back online except this one. this is the one that keeps going offline. we have switched them and are now back online (both of them). which is weird.
