Thanks. This is a brand new house, where I’m going to move. All the cables and connections have been installed a few days ago. I have 2 RJ45 ports available in this room. Socket 1 and socket 2, so to speak.
wires in the wall are CAT 6A.
If I use a patch cable available now, CAT7 to connect my MacBook directly to Socket 1 or Socket 2… the speed is 900+Mb
If I use the same patch cable to connect the WAN port of the Orbi… I had 100Mb speed, them 1000Mb for a while.
Still too many workers in the house lately… I’ll try this week again with a different patch cable, checking accurately the RJ45 plugs into the FritzBox (upstream) and into the Orbi (downstream).
It’s pretty odd the problem occurs with the WAN port of the Orbi but not with the wired connected MacBook…

And the ISP modem is directy connecting to the RBR and not running thru house wiring thru the walls?
If the modem can not be bridged, then be sure to use the modems DMZ for the IP address given to the RBR.
