There are a bunch of Team not loading resolution issues in Google. Your guest network connection is different from your regular one so any network or cache state issue might be causing this bizarre behavior. Does switching to your phone's hotspot wifi also allow Teams Chat to work (I suspect yes)?
The most common suggestion is:
1. Please try clearing the Microsoft Teams app data by going to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Teams > Storage > Clear Data.

2. Reset the Teams app: You can try resetting the Teams app to its default settings. To do this, right-click on the Teams app icon and select "App settings". Scroll down and click on "Reset" under the "Reset" section.
