RBE971 stuck on 100M/Full
Hey all! I hope this is the correct place to ask this. I have a RBE971 which I've connected to my PC directly through a CAT 6A cable. Starting today for some reason the speed keeps getting limited to...

I managed to fix it. Once the Orbi was stuck in 100M/Full only replacing the Cat Cable to a different one wasn't enough. It would still stay on 100M/Full. Hence I was thinking it's not working regardless of the cable. After replacing the wire i had to reboot the orbi for the orbi to understand it was a new non faulty CAT Cable.
Turns out the wire running through the wall had one loose connection at where it connects to the ethernet wall socket. The weird thing about it was i used a RJ45 tester and all 8 lights were lighting up. Anyhow it's fixed now. Thanks for the advice and sorry for the inconvience.

Windows 10 or 11 ?
Is it convenient to document the specific Ethernet adapter on this motherboard ?

Sorry I forgot to mention that I've edited the original post.
My PC is Windows 11 and my other PC I tested is Windows 10. The ethernet adapter on my PC is specified as Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V (driver version 2.1.4.2). Tried updating it through device manager, says there are no new updates.

There might be newer firmware for Windows 11:

Ahh had just updated it using MSI Center to 2.1.4.2, however that did not fix anything the problem remains. Also it's not a problem limited to my PC. The other PC has the same issue when directly connected to the RBE971 router. So that makes me think something is wrong with the router, because it was working perfectly fine until 10 hours ago.
EDIT: For some reason I can no longer edit the original post. However I wanted to add the following.
I've placed my Satellite (RBE970) next to my pc and connected it through the same ethernet cable I was using before and my PC/Ethernet adapter recognises that as 2500 Mbps. So it really has to be something with the router.- FURRYe38Dec 15, 2024Guru - Experienced User
CAT6A STP is recommended.
