OK, There seems to be already a known issue with IPv6 and Orbi 970 series. Something that NG is aware of. No idea when a fix will be forth coming. You might want to contact NG support and let them know as well of what your seeing.

Then clicking on "Get answers about NETGEAR products before I buy" then clicking on "Networking for Home" then "Chat with us".
All we can do for now.

One thing to try is a different DNS server. I had issues with IPv6 and Comcast on a couple of different firmware versions. For some, it'd be rock solid, and for others, it'd drop immediately. I use a pi-hole, and once I switched both the ipv4 and ipv6 DNS servers to my pihole, my ipv6 has been rock solid.
Here are a few you can try without having to install your own pihole.
Also, remember to change the ipv6 dns server.
CloudFlare
IPv4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
IPv6: 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1111 and 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1001
GoogleDNS
IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
IPv6: 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8888 and 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8844Again, not 100% sure it'll work as I'm running through my own DNS server but its worth a chance if its the IPv6 DNS server causing the issue.
