Re: RBR50 Satellite disconnects from router when using Ethernet port
I know this is an old thread, but I have exactly the same problem, i.e. I have sky q with one mini box and am trying to use a powerline adapter to connect to both the main sky q box and the sky q min...

Thank you for raising this! All I'm trying to achieve is to get my Sky Q boxes to work by using powerline adapters.
My current set up is an Adtran ONT connected to Orbi 970 in router mode downstairs. I connected a TP link powerline to the Orbi router via ethernet port and connected another powerline to the sky q box downstairs. Upstairs, I connected a powerline adapter to one of the orbi 971 satellites in my office via ethernet port and another powerline adapter in my bedroom to the main sky q box. The downstairs circuit is differerent to the one upstairs.
The sky q boxes are not connected to anything apart from the powerline adapters.
When the Orbi units are connected to the powerlines, the satellite starts showing that it has a wired connection and speeds slow, then stop altogether. I did reset the powerline adapters and all was well for about one day. Then, one evening the satellite connected to the powerline went magenta and started showing a wired connection again in the UI. i went downstairs to check on the router, and it too had gone magenta. In the end, I had to remove the powerlines and reset the entire system to get the router to connect back to the ONT.
Today, I connected one powerline to the satellite upstairs, but nothing downstairs and bizarrely it has made sky work again, which is odd because I don't have the powerline connected downstairs. In trhe UI, it shows both boxes as having a wired connection, so I tried to turn off the 2.4 and 5 ghz on the boxes, but that made them stop working.
