It is now working on the new router. I had to do a factory reset on the new RBE770 to get it to go through the setup and I powered down the modem again for a minute to make sure it unpaired from the modem. All is working well now. Thanks

The router and WiFi portion of the modem were already set up to work with the Orbi RBR20 that has worked with the setup for 3 years and is working today since I reinstalled it. The cables are the same as well. The only change is the router. The firmware is whatever it came out of the box with since I can’t access it through the app because it hangs up in installation

This is a valid point. While a "Double NAT" can interfere with specific internet applications, many customers connect their own WiFi systems to the ISP device and encounter no problems.
The original post appeared to indicate that the installation was successful in the sense that the Orbi 'app' detected the new router and was able to configure the router, but announced that there was "no internet". Are you able to verify that by attempting to use the smartphone to access an internet resource? (web page, email, etc.)
Netgear seems to aggressively push the idea of using the Orbi 'app' to install new systems. There is another option: connect something with a larger screen to the new router and use the web interface to configure the router before connecting it to the ISP device. Many of us on the forum do this so that we can set the new system to exactly the same WiFi credentials as the system being replaced and perhaps make other configuration changes before "going live". Connecting to the router will bring up a screen encouraging use of the Orbi 'app', but there is a tiny notice, "If you do not have a smartphone....". At this point, I swear at the router, "None of your damn business what devices I have..." and proceed to use the web interface to configure the router. This practice makes it easy to "go back" if I decide that the new system is not doing what I want.
p.s. We on the forum envy customers who have new systems because they qualify for that 90 days of 'complimentary support' from Netgear. Have you tried to contact Netgear support?
