SSID broadcast
Hello I've noticed an unknown SSID being broadcast when the RBE971 is online. I did not initiate this and have disabled Guest network and IoT network. The name is NTGRBH_9xxxxxxxxx Any idea what ...
Its the wireless backhaul. On prior versions the backhaul ssid was hidden. I didn't ever get a response on why they didn't do that on this version

It's a known issue. Not sure if or when NG will fix it. They are ware of it.
Yes, the original RBR50 Orbi still has the option to enable/disable broadcast of the SSID on the 2.4G and/or the 5G user channel:
This product is officially "End of Service", with the last firmware release in Feb, 2023.
That pertains to the front Wi-Fi signal and only on Orbi AC systems. OP is asking about this backhaul SSID that's only seen on Orbi BE systems and is a known issue that NG is aware of. No time frame on if or when this will be fully addressed by NG.
