I was really hoping this firmware upgrade will solve my problem but unfortunately it's not solving the problem with Pixel 8.
The phone stays on the Wi-Fi network but the Internet connection drops. This issue is only happening with my Pixel 8 Pro, anything other devices (non wifi 7 compatible) in the house are working fine.
If this is the firmware Netgear is going to release to fix that bug, then there is more testing needed on their part.
I'm so frustrated with Netgear not testing their products and upgrade and leaving it up to their customers to test. Again at the price of their products this is a scam!

There are known issues with Pixel 8 phones that NG is already aware of. Also this is in part some responsibility on Google/Pixel as well as they play a roll in ensuring there products work with the WiFi spec as well. There are already reports that there are some Mfr having problems with there WiFi 7 devices not working with WiFi7 router platforms. I believe Motorola is one of them. So lets not lump all the blame on NG. NG is working with these mfrs as well to get there products working NG products. Something you should also make contact with Google to let them know what is happening as well. I presume they may already know. This issue is two fold in that both Google and NG are actively working to get fixed. This is all new tech and new stuff to work with and presume there are complexitiies that are causing problems on both sides.
If you feel that the Orbi system is not working for you, then I reommend that you return the unit and find something else that goes. Otherwise, you'll need to be patient while Google and NG work to get this fixed.

An update just a couple of months later. I am on firmware V9.12.2.1_1.2.10 (European version) and I also get disconnects on my Pixel 8. Once a day the Pixel 8 shows that Wifi is connected but actually there is no connection. I have to disable and enable wifi again on the pixel phone to get it working again.
Is there a way to disable wifi 7 on the Orbi? I know putting the the phone in the 2,4Ghz IoT would work, but I would like to at lease use 5 Ghz.
