2.5gb switch expansion

It won't work. You have to go modem---router.
Either way you run into a bottleneck because you either use the 2.5 gig port to connect to the modem and get full speeds or you use it for the LAN and then the modem is bottlenecked.
You can always use lan port aggregation with a switch and rig it but I've never been that huge of fan of lan port aggregation.
Yeah, that was my conclusion as well. I wanted to check and see if I missed something. Only way to make this work is to upgrade the router again that has multiple Multigig ports. And I can’t think of one currently that has multiple 2.5+ wan ports.
