4 Ethernet ports on back of my Router..Ethernet out?

Hi there..Question..Are the 4 ethernet ports situated in a line on the back of my RAX45

    I don't know what that means. Ethernet is two way. In and out. It is there to connect devices on your local network other devices on the network.
