You didn't give us much to go off other than you have an rax50.
1. what modem/gateway is the rax connected to?
2. what firmware is on the router?
3. what is giving you this error? where are you seeing it? What are you trying to do so its coming up?
4. what is "vider"? no idea where this is coming from
5. you put you can enter the server by entering local ip address. How is this involved in setting up your rax?
Details are key in helping since we aren't there to see whats going on, what you're doing, whats giving you errors, etc. So be detailed in describing your issues, setup, what you've tried doing, whats not working

My apologies. I didn't know to give more info.

Is for spectrum cable service. Spectrum E31U2V1

Firmware Version V1.0.4.100_2.0.64
3. what is giving you this error? where are you seeing it? What are you trying to do so its coming up?
I have port forwarded on my router to my server ip according to my listening port (general settings) and my passive mode port range. When i ftp locally, not issue, but when I ftp externally, i can login and get the following message on server and client:

Sorry, left over from a post on filezilla server:

It's not. Just saying that I have my service working correctly when not going through the router. I've set up port forwarding on multiple routers for the exact same service in mutliple locations. The RAX for one is strange that I cannot add more than one port of port range per forward. But other than that, I'd think I've accomplished what's needed. I've never in the past done anything with windows firewall, but currently open the ports up and enabled filezilla server.
No dice. and not sure why.

to be honest, I'm thinking your post on filezilla forum is going to be more helpful than on here.
If you want to test out if its the router blocking the request, simply put the servers ip address into the netgears dmz.
That forwards all traffic for that ip address. Its not a secure solution but it'd allow you to test if the router is blocking something.

Thanks, I tried that, and it didn't work. I was trying out different routers, and with the exact same server settings, set up the other router at the and ftp worked perfectly. Now, I use the nighthawlk, and can't get it to work. The only difference I found: not being able to use multiple ports for one ip address forward. I've even tried DMZ, and that didn't work either.
So, while I would normally agree with you, that is my server settings, I believe under the circumstances that it's actually the RAX50 router.
That's why I came here to try and see if others with nighthawk had trouble setting up ftp. Thanks,
