Actual HTTP and HTTPS support with ready share? Nighthawk AXE11000
Dear Reader,
My router fails to support HTTP and HTTPS in ReadyShare, despite its depictions. Will Netgear be enabling transference of simple text and html files over the internet and opened in a browser soon, as implied where the UI says that HTTP and HTTPS are enabled?
My Best,

Where are you transferring files? What are you using to do it?
Just another user with time on their hands.
- JonTWLCAspirantHi Michael,
I’m trying to allow opening a simple text or HTML file from my machine. I would like to be able to share privacy information for users of my apps on a device, or other content such as a resumé.
I would like to be able to use the hypertext transfer protocol to support opening a store hypertext markup language file using a browser via a link such as what ReadyShare lists. It is obviously a lie by the Nighthawk router to suggest that it supports HTTP or HTTPS if that cannot be done.
A browser should be able to open a link to an HTML file stored on my USB drive and open it as a webpage. I should not need to run a separate server which would be designed to read and update databases or respond to external requests. Even my mac opens the file in a browser if I use finder to open it instead of the links provided by ReadyShare, local or otherwise, which do not work at all.
My Best,
Jonathan
