Try without Smart Connect. On NG routers, SC isn't working as it should in a lot of cases and NG seems to break it every now and then.
Roger that. As a test, I turned off Access Control and rebooted. And as the issue is sporadic, I need to let it sit for a while.
I'll try your solution next, if need be, and report back.

You were right. Diabling AC did not fix it. Disabling Smart Connect seems to have done the trick.
