ax1800 wifi 6 router rax10 is broadcasting on PROTO=2
I noticed that my router (ax1800 wifi 6 router rax10 ) is broadcasting on port 2.
I blocked all devices connected to the network other than my desktop that I used to monitor the traffic.
the messages I am receiving look like this:
Dec 8 17:03:57 My-Desktop kernel: [1058246.094376] [UFW BLOCK] IN=eno1 OUT= MAC=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX src=192.168.1.1 DST=224.0.0.1 LEN=36 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=1 ID=43222 DF PROTO=2
I checked the MAC address and it matches the on written on my device.
Why this message is being sent? what service is sending it?
Thanks

This is a "All Hosts" Multicast broadcast. There is no way to turn it off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multicast_address
