What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Be sure the WAN port on the RAX is connected to the modem port.
- SchubeTubeDec 09, 2021AspirantAccording to the app, the firmware is 1.0.4.100.
Our internet is through Insight/Spectrum, but we use our own Arris modem SB6183.
I have tried power off sequence for both modem and router, in delayed 2 min reconnect.
If it helps, I should also note we also have an ASUS router that is hubbed off of a Giga Switch that reconnected after a hard reset. But the Nughthawk baffles me.- FURRYe38Dec 10, 2021Guru - Experienced User
So how is the modem and NG router connected? The RAX router needs to be connected directly behind the ISP modem. There should be no LAN switch in between these two devices.

The best way to check if it is the latest is to look on the support pages.
Visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and that page will have a library of firmware.
Look for the model number on the label on the device.
Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.
Check the section in the manual on updating the firmware.

If so, that's asking for trouble.
No surprise that one router connects but the others falls over.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.
