Axe7800 and where do I enter my isp plan number

Morning all. My isp provided router was pants so I upgraded myself to an AXE7800 but it won't connect to my ISPs network. The info they gave me was set it up with dynamic ip, mtu 1492 and vlan911. I can do the first bits ok but where/ how do I add vlan911 ? Am having to use the 7800 as an AP now til I can figure this out.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • What Netgear device do you own?

AXE7800 is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.

Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.

Check the section in the manual

Manually set up the Internet connection

There may also be some helpful videos on what to do.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Just another user with time on their hands.
