Bridge 2 RAX120v2 Routers & use ethernet on the bridged router
Hello,
I have spent two days attempting to bridge a new rax120 to my main rax120 that is hardwired to cable internet.
I went through the bridge process outlined on the Netgear website. I believe they are bridged now because the original network name of my new rax120 has disappeared and it seems like it is expanding coverage? I'm not sure how to know if it is working.
I am using the bridged router next to my tv to be able to plug in ethernet ports to the tv, a computer and Apple TV. I read that a bridged router may only use LAN1 and all the other LAN ports will not work? Does anyone know if this is true?
Anyway, my dilemma is:
1. The original network for my new bridge router is no longer available after selecting bridge mode and entering in the information, does this mean it's bridged? and how can I check if it actually is?
2. I moved the bridged router across the house so it can only be accessed wirelessly and when I plug in a single ethernet cable into LAN1 I do not get internet. Can I get ethernet on a bridged router? If so how?
Thank you for any help ahead of time and if you are smug or just want to flex that you know more about networking than me, please spare me, I'd rather not receive your "help".
❤️

By bridge you mean wireless bridge on the 2nd RAX right? IF so, then the 1st RAX120's SSID broadcast should NOT disappear. Wireless bridge mean that the 2nd RAX becomes just a wireless client that connects to the 1st RAX SSID broadcast only. The 2nd RAX doesn't broadcast any SSID while in wireless bridge mode. I use my RAX120 and it's connected to my CAX30 currently. CAX30 broadcasts the SSID only.
