What firmware is on the RAX40?
do you have access control/traffic monitoring/qos? if so, try factory resetting the rax40 and reinstalling with just setting up the minimum service (internet connection and wifi ssid/password). Then try testing again.
Testing in the same room, most of my ac devices can get faster than 300mbps out of an AC connection. My intel 9260 can hit 600-700mbps and my intel AX200 can hit >1gig over wireless if my connection is good enough.
so focus first on getting the RAX up to speed prior to bridging.
