Can RAX80/RAX120 support wired backhaul?

I want to build a MESH network in my house and I have a Nighthawk RAX80 and preparing to buy some other extenders/routers, while I wish to use wired backhaul between the MESH points.

Does RAX80 supports wired backhaul and can I set it as the main point while extenders are using wired backhaul?Or can I set RAX80 as a MESH point and connect it to the main point by wired backhaul?Same questions for RAX120.

Thank you.

  • The RAX devices aren't "mesh" routers.

They are routers though. You can add a "mesh extender" to them but netgears line of mesh extenders only function in mesh when ran in extender mode. Not while in AP mode. As well as I wouldn't recommend using more than 1 mesh extender (running in mesh mode) at a time. If you're needing more than 1 mesh extender, its better to move to a full mesh system like orbi which does have a mesh router running it all. Orbi does run with wired or wireless backhaul for its mesh system.
