Cannot login to router
I need to set up port forwarding yet cannot log into my router. I get the the login page enter my credentials and my netgear account details and then get an error message saying sorry please try again...
What router do you have?
are you using its ip address or the routerlogin address?
Have you tried simply factory resetting and reinstalling?
It's a Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 WiFi Router (RAX50v2). I've tried both the IP address and the login url. Both fail when I enter my username and password. I didn't want to do a factory reset and I've configured a couple of SSID's and had fun and games setting it up at the outset as it's a non-ISP provided router.

Many ISPs like to inflict their own choice of modem/router combinations on customers.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local problems with addresses on your network. Among other things, the other router can misdirect traffic to addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual default IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.

Unless you have specific reasons for using two routers – to create two separate networks for example – it is often easier to use just one router and then to set up the second router as a wifi access point (AP) with a wired connection to the main router. It may be possible to put the modem/router into modem only (bridge) mode and then to use the second device as the router.

The Nighthawk is a stand alone router configured in line with our ISP's settings and is working perfectly. The only issue I get is trying to log into the router, as I need to set up port forwarding for remote access to an application. When I try and access the router's interface I keep getting you need a NetGear account to login. I have an account, I'm logged into it now!! Yet it fails and says try again. OTP password doesn't work, nothing works. I organised a support tech and he managed to fudge it by repeatedly entering 192.168.1.1 despite being asked to enter the NetGear account details. It is extremely frustrating!!!
You happen to be running into this issue I saw on my v2?
You'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch with the router disconnected from the ISP modem/router. Once you set it up manually, and at the home screen, then reconnect it to the ISP modem/router. I'd use the ISP routers DMZ for the RAX router in router mode, or change the RAX to AP mode.
