Cannot register or ask support for my product under my new user account

I'm in a conundrum at this Nighthawk site. I have had an account for years for my R6250 router, then I bought a Nighthawk RAX80.

A long time ago I registered with the username "Rich-R6250" and registered my Netgear router. When I bought the new RAX80, I registered it while logged into the old account. At this point the username I chose no longer made sense when I wanted to ask questions since it had model specific information in it.

I tried to change my username but apparently that is not possible so I created a new user account which was not model specific (BiigRich) and deleted my "Rich-R6250" account.

I then found out that I cannot register my products, neither the RAX80 nor the R6250 under the newly created account. I really don't care as much about the R6250 since it is out of warranty but I need help to get my RAX80 registered for support. It's only 2 months old and the 90 day clock is ticking and I have a few support questions.

I know this community is not for warranty support but Netgear does not allow me to even communicate with their support if the product is not registered to the account that I use for login access.

Please let me know what I can do to get the RAX80 registration associated with my new account?
