Changing 5ghz Channel
I have a Nighthawk RAX50 and I'm wishing to change both the 2.5 and 5ghz channels so they don't interfere with my SkyQ setup. I can change the 2.4 one ok but when I try to to change 5ghz it won't ac...

What is this "skyq setup"? What bit of hardware apart from the router is involved? What is the modem/gateway/ONT in front of your network?
If you have two separate wifi sources on your network, all sorts of things can be going on.
As plemans says:
A better description of what's going on might help us to help you better.

Good morning, from your response I deduce you probably don't have any experience of how the SkyQ products operate so I will endeavour to explain.
There is a SkyQ mainbox situated in the same room as the router/hub and this communicates with SkyQ miniboxes using it's own WiFi matrix. Both 2.4 and 5ghhz channels can be used but it'll default to 5ghz if at all possible. This setup works fine with the WiFi of the supplied SkyQ hub, it faultless. However, as you state, having two sets of WiFi both transmitting and receiving over WiFi leads to issues and if they are both running the Sky matrix will constantly connect and disconnect.
The link I send to you explains a workaround to resolve this when using the SkyQ hub as a modem, and DHCP server, with the RAX50 in access point mode. Then the two WiFi's should be able to coexist with each other, as they are not using the same channels.
Of course, another workaround is to physically wire all the boxes to my network, however this is not possible. I can patch in the mainbox but the miniboxes are not located where they can be wired. I've tried Powerlink's through the mains circuit, but this results in stuttering all the time of the picture and breakup, probably due to them not being on the same ring circuit as the mainbox or router are.
If I can't solve this then, unfortunately, the Netgear will be returned for a refund.

Your best bet would be to talk to the people who use Sky devices.
There should be be a much bigger overlap of Netgear and Sky users there.

What region are you in? Do you have the higher 5ghz channels available in your region?

Hi, yes I have already been on the Sky community support website discussing this, that's why I am here
I'm in the UK have 36-48 or 140DFS channels available with 5ghz...

There should be more channels available for your region.
