  • You didn't really tell us a whole lot other than you're having issues with your printer.

    1. What router do you have?

    2. Firmware on the router?

    3. What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

    4. Have you setup the printer with a static ip address or a reserved IP address? I've had severl printers that anytime they rebooted, pulled a new IP address and you'd have to reinstall them to your network.  A static ip address or reservered IP address fixed the issu.

    5. What actual printer is it?

You also put that "my router doesn't recognize the new computer".

A little more details on this helps. What do you mean by this?

Is your computer unable to see the router ssid?

    Is it unable to connect?

Does it connect but doesn't see the reset of the network?
