Im currently using the Arris sb8200 Modem, Sorry I should have mentioned that I replaced this aswell. I used the warranty on both at bestbuy to get a brand new modem and upgrade my router at the same time just to make make sure. I've been runnign traceroute on pingplotter for a week now and i see about 15-40% packet loss throughout the day. Ive done everything possible and researched this for a week straight.
facytory reset modem and router last night and the packet loss got down to 2% and ran fine all last night. Woke up and bam, back to horrible levels.

what happens if you direct connect to the modem?

I Still receive packet loss but on a much lower scale. I tested it and I get about 1-3% packet loss. I know my internet provider is meh buit it's all I have.
Howeer when plugged into the router I recieve upwards or 75% even saw 80% at one point. It's inconsistantly consistant, by that I mean I have consistant Packetloss and ping spikes, but not consistant in its pattern or jitter.
