Current RAX120 firmware version
The web site download page shows the current firmware version as 1.0.2.136. This morning I checked using the phone app, and it shows a version 1.2.0.16 available. Installed OK but want to verify th...

I can confirm that firmware v1.2.0.16 is indeed for the RAX120 and should be available on the support site soon along with the release notes. You may proceed with the update through the GUI or Nighthawk app.
Thank you for looping me in Newfiedrool

Did...did you read the thread?
Unless those release notes indicate that disabling the internet connection to every ethernet port was intentional, you might want to take that firmware update back to the drawing board.
I would highly recommend that anybody reading this avoids v1.2.0.16 like the plague.

Installed from the website and no issue with Ethernet ports all is working as it should. I never have auto update enabled and always update manually and factory reset after. Maybe download the firmware from the Netgear site and re-install it and do a factory reset.

The release notes for the V1.2.0.16 firmware are now available:
New Features and Enhancements
Supports IPv6 MAP-E (V6plus) for Japan.
Improves the built-in Speedtest by Ookla.
Security Fixes
Fixes security issues.
Bug Fixes
Fixes the Internet connectivity issue where the traffic meter is enabled.
Fixes some minor issues in the router web interface.
Observations...
1. For individuals experiencing Internet connectivity issues on LAN ports with V1.2.0.16 firmware, do you have traffic meter enabled?
2. The long list of security issues posted by NETGEAR on 15-16 DEC 2020 is notworthy.
3. The firmware ZIP file is identical, for both the RAX120 and the RAX120v2.

I have CenturyLink fiber 1 gig by 1 gig service. Firmware 1.2.0.16 stops all LAN fort traffic and will not provide IPv6 via the wireless connections. Because I have CenturyLink fiber service, I must use a tagged V-LAN configuration. I do not have traffic metered.
Firmware 1.2.0.16 stops all LAN port traffic and will not provide IPv6 via the wireless connections.
I have owned my RAX120 since the initial release via the Premier Membership program which requires a monthly payment and provides no support. The router is the worst I have ever had, and I cannot terminate the agreement with Netgear.
All scenarios below result in no LAN port traffic and no IPv6.
- Tried factory reset the router several times and set it up from scratch, same results.
- Tried factory reset and restored a working configuration, same results.
- Downgraded the firmware, from scratch setup and tried upgrade, same results.
Beyond this I have tried a variety of configuration combinations, restored, and downgraded several times then going back to 1.2.0.16. It just does not work.
My conclusion is that the firmware is defective. I do not know what else to say.
Let me know what to try.

cadmanp I have the same CenturyLink 1G service, my PPPoE also requires me to use a tagged VLAN config (201). Can you confirm if you are able to establish non-SSL connections via LAN clients?
on Linux/macOS command-line: `curl -v http://google.com`
on Windows PowerShell: `iwr -v http://google.com`
Compare those outputs with https://google.com as the URL. I've been experiencing the same issue on all LAN ports after multiple resets.
soeun webder Do either of you use a tagged VLAN config for Internet access?
