Data privacy and RAX54S
Costco carries the RAX54S-100NAS. Consumer Reports gives this model a 2/5 rating for Data Privacy. Most other Netgear routers (for example, the RAX50) get a 4/5 rating. How is my personal data treated differently in the RAX54S-100NAS to cause this lower Data Privacy rating

Its tough to tell because of how they rate. I don't have consumer reports subscription so I can't see if they list specifically what features caused the downgrade. Even in their own article for netgear they rated an older router higher than a newer raoute but don't say why. Just that "it lagged behind". What lagged?
You'd have to ask them specifically why they rated it lower..... and which firmware did they have on their test version of the RAX54S?
Hard to believe that, when it comes to the underlying "engine" there is much difference between routers in the security front. They all have to work from the same set of known threats.
