If it's actually new, hence under warranty, then I'd complain through
official channels: http://support.netgear.com/
If it's out of warranty, and someone just put a differently
programmed board behind that label, then you might be stuck with an
unknown default wireless-network passphrase (or two).
So long as you can get to the router's management web site, you
should be able to set the SSID(s) and passphrase(s) to whataver you'd
like.
