DMZ Set for NTRIP server but client will not connect
I have tried both DMZ and port forwarding to a windows desktop machine running an NTRIP server. Nothing will allow my client to connect. Any ideas?

The modem is motorola surfboard sb8200.
Firmware is up to date.
Ping is not working.
Windows is updated.
Tried going straight into the windows box from the modem and still no connection, so........

Standard cable modem/ No router involved.
Firmware is up to date.
Famous last words. Sadly they carry no weight around here because we see erroneous "the latest" claims here on a weekly basis.

No idea what that means. I find that it is often impossible to get at a modem when it is in front of a router.
If you are saying that you are taking the router out of the mix, then that sort of makes talk of DMZs irrelevant.
I'm sure that you know what your terse statements mean, but to me at least they are short on useful information. For example, apart from knowing nothing useful about your firmware, Windows may be "up to date", another less than helpful claim, but how it is configured network wise?
I still, think you asking for help with NTRIP in the wrong place.

Ok firmware is the latest version, checked August 11th 2023.
I was trying to eliminate the R6700 as the issue here by going straight to the cable modem. Internet seems to work as expected but when my client tries to connect to the NTRIP server it times out.
Ethernet connection not wifi. No firewall on windows. Auto DHCP.
I will start troubleshooting the NTRIP server software. Apologies for assuming it was the R6700

Sounds like you succeeded there. The R6700 isn't involved, so worrying about its DMZ is a red herring.
You do realise that the R6700 is an old (2014) and not very capable router?

I was not aware. What do you recommend?

Whatever meets your needs.
Try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:
Wireless Routers for Home | NETGEAR
If NTRIP is important to you, seek advice from people who understand how it works. They may be able to recommend a router that is known to work with it.
