Download speed issue

On occasion my download speed drops from 50 to around 4 or lower.  Cox tells me when checking their system that all is well and that I may have a router/modem (both NetGear).  

To remedy this I need to disconnect the power from both and reconnect.  The equipment is less than 1 year old.  This is happening a couple times per month.

Any ideas for me?

  • What actual modem/router do you have? 

    If its a combo device, do you have a screen snip of your cable connections page and the modem event logs?
