EAX11
I can't get my wifi extender name to show in my settings. Also, the nighthawk app is absolutely no help

Maybe you mean the EAX15? There isn't an EAX11.
a couple things.
1. you posted in the router section. Not the extenders section. and without the exact (correct) model, its tough to know if you posted in the wrong section or what.
2. If it truly is an EAX device (extender), those devices are mesh devices. Meaning, if you set it up using wps or the default settings, its not supposed to show up in your "settings" on your phone. it should use the same ssid as your router and allow devices to roam between it and the router based off your phone/tablet/pc's own roaming protocols. Its called onewifi.
