Eax80 pretends to connect to RAX80 but useless..
Recently purchased an EAX80 Mesh Extender, went through the setup to connect and extend my RAX80 router. Goes through the steps, conncects and even updated to latest firmware. From there it's a pape...
I followed setp instructions - use app look for mesh etc. It actually connected though it took so long a message appeared that said 'skip 2.4
and look for 5' - it eventually connected to 5, and even ran firmware update automatically. After, could not connect with devices at all - will not accept password. I reset the extender tried again - same thing though didnt need firmware. Eventually I found gateway of eax80 and after a battle, logged into it. The 2,4 had a blank pw the 5 was subdued (greyed out). Couldn't do anything. So.. any help would be appreciated. Thanks dtmv.
Try factory resetting the EAX80. then hardwire a pc/laptop into it (disable the pc/laptops wireless) and use that method of setup.
make sure to setup in extender mode and not access point mode (unless you're planning on hardwiring the EAX80 to the router)
