Ethernet Disconnects from PC Windows 11 - AX5300

Returning to the issue of Ethernet Disconnects, there have been issues with the drivers for Ethernet hardware in the past. Intel was especially guilty.
I doubt if it is the cause of this problem, but it might be worth investigating that path.
Unfortunately, Windows update will not discover drivers at that level. You need to find the source of the Ethernet chips and then see if there are newer drivers out there.

michaelkenward Very true on the Intel driver issue.
How old is the PC? Check the control panel device manager and look to see if the Ethernet port is from the Intel Killer Series of chips. The Intel drivers had problems. The most recent Dell machines I have worked with had 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports and the drivers were OK, but the Killer Experience software was a mess and the directing engines had to be disabled to get any upstream throughput.

I built this computer almost 2 years ago, the intel chip is a (I226-V #2), it does have reported issues and intel support suggested I RMA the motherboard or try a USB dongle. I'm hesitant to take apart the PC and return just the motherboard being that I use this desktop for work everyday.
Coincidently though, my housemate's desktop does have a killer network card and he uses mainly WIFI. He has horrible connection on 2.5G or 5G, frequent drops in connection and I even tried getting him a TP-Link USB WIFI adaptor with the same result. I am at a loss with his problems as well.

I would definitely hold off on taking apart your PC to RMA the motherboard.
The test with the USB adapter was a very good reference data point. I paid $20 for the Amazon basic 1 Gbps version I have.
PCIE Ethernet adapters for 1 Gbps are also listed in the $20 range.
With problems on two machines, using the Ethernet port, USB adapter, and Wi-Fi, I am prone to look at the ISP for a solution with the modem rebooting.
Are you located in a single family dwelling or in a multi-family complex?

It's a townhouse shared by 4 units. Only difficult thing is the owner for our unit is in control of the internet for specific reasons. I'll have to have some specific tasks when I call him to talk to my ISP.
The coax cable in our unit goes straight into the ceiling which is odd because I don't know of a way to access the attic.
I suppose I could mention some of the oddities in the modem connections and have them take a look.
