Sounds like a terrible experience.. especially with 2 units. I'm not sure what differences are there between our setups but I'm not having this particular issue with declining speeds, i'm getting around 1,150 Mbps on speed tests (My ISP overprovisions gig profile), on laptops that I upgraded with the Intel AX200 w/HT160 enabled. On LAN speed tests to my NAS im getting 1,300-1,400 Mbps on the same laptops.
What settings are changed from default? Also is the router in an area of good ventilation especially at the bottom, these things seem to get pretty hot.

Yep tried everything at least three times. Running with default settings except for using channel 108. I've also tried many other bands.
Sounds like I should have purchased the RAX200 instead. This will be my last Netgear purchase if not fixed in the next 12 months and I have all Netgear equipment on my network right now. It does no good to buy a service contract. They don't elevate your problem to programmers so they can be ware of the problem. They just close your case.
