Help disabling Airtime Fairness and Beamforming
I’ve been advised by the manufacturer of some home devices that the quirky malfunctions I’m experiencing are because of my router’s Airtime Fairness and Beamsharing. I need to disable them.
Network admin is not my natural language but I did poke around the Netgear App and so far I cannot find the way to disable these two things. I also tried to login through routerlogin.net, but the password that is printed on the white label on the bottom of the router fails to load any further pages. When I tried the generic ‘password’ as a password (which is also listed on the bottom of the router, strangely and confusingly), I was given a field to input the serial number of the device to ‘rename’ it….but the site was listed as unsecure and this made me suspicious.
I would be deeply grateful if somebody could explain how to do this, and presume I know nothing beyond what is explained. In other words, I am not bringing any contextual awareness to this task.
