HELP: RAX70 router + AC1900 modem/router bridging router
Hi, I just bought a router and modem from Ebay
Netgear RAX70 router with the Netgear ac1900 modem/router.
I set up the internet and the Netgear ac1900 modem/router is working right now for my internet but want to now connect the RAX70 as the router. My question will the RAX70 router bridge automatically with this modem/router?
Or how do I do this that isn't through the Netgear app (I cant even login because the app sucks so bad).
I tried to call their support and wouldn't give me any answers unless i paid $100 for their support service for a year which I don't want to pay $100 for one question. I tried to ChatGPT it but when I plug both in, there are 6 total wifi names available. (and there is only supposed to be 3 correct?).
Is this possible to be bridged through a browser?
Lastly, do i HAVE to set up the router my nighthawk on the app or is just possible to skip that entirely? Thank you!

It does not. You should put the modem/router in bridge and let the RAX70 do the routing.
Device(s) can be managed by using the Web UI at http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1
As well as heeding the sound advice from microchip8 there are a few other points to note.

No, but if you run it through the setup prices the RAX70 may (no guarantees) adjust its own settings to avoid clashes between the two routers. For example, it may detect the other router and give itself an IP address of 10.0.0.1 rather than the more usual 192.168.1.1.
Putting the modem/router in bridge mode is still the best option in most circumstances.

Its only real value is in doing things that you can't manage with a direct connection to the router's GUI. You can even do that with a mobile device over wifi. Just aim a browser on the device at the router's IP address

How do I identify an official NETGEAR website or social media account? - NETGEAR Support
As to official channels, free support that expires after 90 days and is, in any case, not transferable. Second hand kit doesn't qualify.
